The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Technical Talent Acquisition Partner who knows how to identify and engage world-class technical talent, especially in AI research. The ideal candidate understands the research landscape, knows where to find people doing cutting-edge work, and can tell a compelling story about why they should join a startup like Emmi AI.
The focus is on candidates with strong academic backgrounds, solid publication records, and experience in areas like Physics AI, Neural Operators, and large-scale model training. This is a strategic role that will directly shape the quality and pace of our growth, with a chance to build a team that pushes the edge of what is possible.
You will:
Own and build scalable hiring foundations and systems from scratch, setting the groundwork for long-term growth
Build and execute creative sourcing strategies to find high-bar technical talent
Build a high-quality, fast, and thoughtful candidate experience, with a strong focus on AI research profiles
Understand what top AI researchers value and tailor your sourcing and engagement strategies accordingly
Partner with hiring managers and members of the C-suite, including the CSO and CTO, to deeply understand the roles, the work, and what great looks like
Help shape and launch Emmi AI’s brand within the AI/ML communities to attract top talent
Track what works, iterate fast, and constantly improve our hiring approach

Job requirements
You bring:
Proven experience hiring for high-caliber technical roles, ideally in deep tech or AI
A strong grasp of how the AI research world works, including academic and industry tracks
Feeling comfortable with early-stage startups context, with all the speed, ambiguity, and shifting priorities that come with it
You like chasing hard-to-find profiles, figuring out what makes them tick, and closing them
A bias toward action. You try, learn, fix, and keep going
