The opportunity

• Take full ownership of day-to-day finance operations: accounts payable/receivable, expense controls, cash flow tracking, and treasury planning.

• Lead our monthly closing process and support the preparation of internal and investor reporting.

• Help implement and optimize our finance stack (e.g., accounting, payments, reporting, and spend tools).

• Support budgeting, forecasts, and scenario modeling.

• Work with external accountants, tax advisors, and payroll providers to ensure compliance with Austrian and EU regulations.

• Support investor relations: assist with the preparation of financial data and analysis

• Lay the foundation for a scalable finance function by bringing structure, clarity, and automation to everything you touch.

• Prepare applications for government grants and track project milestones

You bring :

• 2-5 years of experience in finance, ideally at a startup, scale-up, or top-tier accounting/consulting firm.

• Hands-on experience of (Austrian) bookkeeping practices, monthly closes, reporting, and financial tooling.

• Strong analytical mindset with financial modeling skills.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, learn and grow fast, and manage multiple priorities.

• Fluency in English and German
